Ali and Ektaa invite you to Episode 10 of The Tax Files, where they are joined by Sir Edward Troup. Sir Edward is now working as a freelance consultant, speaker and writer on tax policy and the politics of taxation.
Sir Edward has recently held Senior roles at HMRC and has previously advised 5 Chancellors of the Exchequer, including being special advisor to Kenneth Clarke. Sir Edward studied mathematics at Corpus Christ College Oxford, graduating with an MSc in 1977, before then going on to hold a position as tax partner at law firms Simmons & Simmons from 1985 to 1995 and then from 1997 to 2004. during the late 90s, Sir Edward wrote a series of Personal View commentaries for the Financial Times.
